Where is My Mind?

It seems like every time I write, I’m apologizing for the long delays between posts. I would personally blame Justin for that. But then again I blame Justin for pretty much anything. Speaking of him, his boy Skrillex is the man of the hour and is tearing Beatport apart, but don’t tell Justin that or he’ll go on this long rant on how he sucks now. Gotta admit, I’m kinda disappointed with his new album myself but at least, for every track he releases, there seems to be a sick remix. My personal favourite is with no doubts this next one that just gets so pumped and makes me want to fight. Wonder why…

Kill Everybody (Bare Noize Remix) - Skrillex

Big Boss – Doctor P

Alright so you’ve got the new Doctor P track and all the good dubstep I’ve been hearing lately has gotten me so hyped up for Igloofest. But with exams and all coming there’s few things better than some good chill dubstep  for you to sit back and relax to and there’s few better at it than Jakwob.

Daydreaming (Jakwob Remix) – Kid Sister

A Life Worth Living (Jakwob Remix) – Alan Pownall (Very fawking hawt)

I can’t describe how god the second track is, (very fawking hawt is an understatement) and I’m kicking myself for not knowing it before.  I’m sorry, here’s the the best end of movie song ever remixed in apology.

Where Is My Mind (Bassnectar Remix) – The Pixies

Just learned today that Michael Woods is in Montreal next week December 9th at Theatro Montreal. Not a huge fan but it promises to be sick. Also for those of you like me who have nothing planned on New Year’s Eve, there’s two ridiculous shows at Red-Lite and Circus.  The lineup is Avicii and Cosmic Gate compared to W&W, Ummet Ozcan and Adam K at Red-Lite and Circus respectively. It was heart breaking decision and although I’ve already seen Cosmic Gate and Avicii and none of the others, I just had to chose them, just had to.

Before I go, here’s a track that still blows my mind after more than a year from Ashley Wallbridge (Gareth 2.0) and Andy Moor. I’ll leave the honour to Fred an Justin to cover Chris Lake and all the awesomeness that comes with him.

Faces (feat. Meighan Nealon) – Ashley Wallbridge & Andy Moor

Hi, My Name is Deadmau5 and I Approve this Music

As a producer/DJ, you've got to be careful about what you endorse, if not to destroy your own name. Deadmau5's reputation is certainly untouched, even maybe improved with the DJ he recently promoted. Sonny Moore, better known as Skrillex, just released an EP called My Name is Skrillex. I'm completely blown away by this guy's skills. You probably don't recognize his name. I'm relatively certain that I'm not the only one who's never heard of him. Diamond in the rough en esti. Considering this is the first most of us have heard of him, every single song on this release is great. Ok maybe the first 5, I'm not a fan of the last one. I can't wait to see how big this guy is going to become. I think everyone who reads this blog knows how much pull Deadmau5 has in the world of electronic music.
Without further a due, here is the link to his EP. The filetypes are .m4a, so just add them to your iTunes and the music will play.

My Name is Skrillex

Heres his EP's Youtube promotional video.

This is sort of a short post, so here are a few more tracks before I go.

In my opinion, Doctor P's follow up to Sweet Shop has been pretty weak, considering how awesome the song is. Will this remix launch him back into the dubstep spotlight?

Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip - Sick Tonight (Doctor P Remix)

Why has this Tiesto remix not been posted yet? Amazing song, you should have seen this on the site a long time ago.

Muse - Resistance (Tiesto Remix)

And finally, last but not least, here is another Tiesto song to get everyone psyched for the 18th of July. Is it weird to promote an event you won't be attending?

Tiesto - Louder Than Boom (Extended Mix)

Got anything planned for La Saint-Jean? Gareth Emery at Circus. Only 15$. Need I say more? Once again props to Ellis.
